Zehlendorfer Wespen wU16 — German champions 2026
The road to the title ran through three rounds. We finished the Berlin main round third and won the Berlin final round (6:0 in the final against Berliner HC); as the East's No. 1 seed we won intermediate round C against Rot-Weiss Köln and MTV Braunschweig; and at the Youth Finals in Mönchengladbach we beat HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim in a penalty shootout and Münchner SC in the final. It was the Wespen's first German field title in this age group — the girls' U16 had won the indoor championship in 2021/22 — and the first girls' U16 field final for both clubs in this millennium — and my twin sister Carla was in the team with me.
